Ice Skates Pain Arches
modern
A memory of this summer, I was reminded these days as they change the diaper to Philip .
Moneglia we like, we can just do a weekend getaway. At the beginning we were coming in motion and we slept in a camp. This time we have a comfortable home and good friends that we make available (thank you). Moneglia is good for many things. If you get there by car from waterfront, you have to do a gallery in alternating traffic. It 's the old railroad tunnel turned into a paved lane. A semaphore regulates access, every 20 minutes. I like to think that you have to go wait your turn. The wait is often beautiful because you stop along the sea off the car and you look out over the railing at the edge of the road and they're looking at the sea, you begin to know him, to breathe, slowly, before throwing in the ' horde of Ligurian tourism (which Moneglia, precisely due to the isolation due to the gallery, is never so overwhelming).
back from the beach, among the salt in the house for a shower, I stopped in the street to see if Paul goes to sleep a bit '. Push the stroller on an uphill road to rail, dall'obra of protected trees and palms. Before me another father who does the same thing, and I have the same goal: to sleep the hyena.
before me and my going in the same direction and walk in front of a bench with three elderly women sitting to take fresh and telling your life. Inevitably block the father to see the child (and any attempt to addormentaela vanishes here): apart from a number of compliments and inevitable cliches. But they are fun and not awkward.
I continue on my way, passing them to the side and fearing to be blocked too. Not so, thankfully.
Then I hear an old woman who said loudly to his father "... sure that dads are just modern, but in my day ..... I think my dad I have never picked up: in those days for a man to touch a child it was to be effeminate, ashamed ! .
This phrase struck me.
do not know if it's all true, and I also believe that any "custom" should be viewed in the context of the time when he was living.
But in any case, if things went well I guess I have lost a wonderful component that is the physical you have with a child.
Since the early days, when to pick him up (from newbie) practically the wrap with your big hands. When to console him hugs and kisses, caresses him. When you change it. When comicnia to react and play with you and then he begins to embrace you. Knowing its smell, its smells (good and bad!). When you eat from the same spoon to show him the baby food is good and not overcooked.
Paul falls asleep only embraced you touched her hair, when it happens to me is beautiful. You are enveloped in a hug that only you sleep well.
I know that's not nice to say, but the shit ...., Philip (who is breastfed) knows of bread! seem to enter the bakery when freshly baked!
I do not think that what the old woman said was true. Maybe in front of others, once they had more pudore.Ma do not think we are deprived of something so beautiful, it was too unnatural.

A nice weekend at sea in late June, just to prepare for the holiday in Sicily. Just to make the "background" tan. A Moneglia.
